About Fadia Elgharib
From corporate lawyer to community manager of a global network of over 250 innovators, and a curator at Europe's leading digital society festival.

My career journey has been driven by a passion for people, purpose, and meaningful connection. After starting in Banking and Finance Law, I transitioned into the world of digital innovation and social impact.
Since 2018, I've been part of the Global Innovation Gathering (GIG), where I support makers, technologists, educators, and community builders from across the Global South and beyond. With a Master's degree focused on the societal impacts of digitalization, I'm especially interested in how inclusive, grassroots innovation can drive change.
At re:publica, I curate the Makerspace stage, hosting hands-on workshops that explore the intersection of technology, design, and community. I also lead GIG's online community-building efforts, facilitating meetups and co-creating digital spaces that encourage knowledge exchange, collaboration, and growth.
I'm passionate about building bridges — between people, regions, and ideas — to foster more equitable and connected futures.
